Polus Co-Hosts Community Canvas Event in Athol
The Polus Center has partnered with Athol Credit Union to host three summer events centered around creating community canvases. Local children are invited to share what Athol means to them through their artwork, which will be hung in the windows of businesses on Main Street.

Satauna Howery
Satauna Howery is a voice actor known for her audio description work on Possibilities, Black-ish, Things Heard & Seen, and Seinfeld among many other projects. She won the 2017 Voice Arts Award in the Outstanding Spoken Word or Storytelling category for her work on the Emmy nominated short film "Wild Animal Sanctuary: You Felt Free".
Polus Receives Healey-Driscoll Grant for Young Adults with Disabilities (YAWD)
On February 4th, the Polus Center hosted the announcement ceremony of a new $850,000 grant at our office in Athol. Through the Commonwealth Corporation with the help of the Healey-Driscoll administration, five organizations received funding for training and employing 119 young adults with disabilities.
