Learn techniques for success in college and build a strong foundation in independence and self-advocacy skills. Learn and build skills
- Experience dorm life and meet other college-bound peers
- Navigate course websites and how to access materials, learn study skills & note taking techniques
- Take college-level courses in STEM and creative writing
- Navigate the campus and dining halls, learn time management
- Learn about Disability Services and advocacy skills you will need in college and life
Participate and gain experience
- Practice independent living skills, including cooking and public transportation
- Attend social events including local performances, accessible outdoor activities, self-defense classes
- Learn content creation and how to use recording equipment for music, podcasts, social media
- Hear from guest speakers and college students
- Tour another college campus and compare to U-Mass
- Relax, have some fun, meet like-minded new friends!
