Retail Skills for Young Adults with Disabilities is a program for young adults age 18-35 who are interested in working at one of our employer partners (Price Chopper, CVS, Shaw's) or in a similar grocery or retail environment.
We accept any Massachusetts resident who identifies as having a disability. You must be interested and able to work independently in a competitive environment after completion of the program.
Virtual training 2x/week via Zoom
Deadline for application: 2/15/25
No cost to students
All participants receive six weeks of virtual customer service and workplace readiness skills training.
Students then choose:
- Grocery track - includes Safe Serve certification training
- Retail track - includes hands-on cashier skills training at CVS
Following training, graduates will continue with on-the-job experience and support until they get hired, or they will be assisted by the Polus Center and MassHire Career Center to find competitive employment in a retail or grocery store near their home.
