All Things Irish 2018
Come join the Polus Center as we celebrate All Things Irish! This lively fundraiser is always a crowd pleaser. Enjoy bag pipers, Irish step dancers, traditional foods, and community spirit. Proceeds from the evening will support the Polus Center’s Envision Success Project, a career exploration and job training program for legally blind young adults age 14-21.

Landmine survivor Isaac Wetewabo shares his hopes as he struggles to provide for his family. The Coffeelands trust, a fund created in 2005, provides support for coffee farmers, like Isaac, and their families impacted by landmines in conflict and post-conflict regions of the world through rehabilitation, training, coffee farm improvements, housing, and small business development.

Giving Season
This year we are reaching out to ask you to help us offer hope to coffee farmers in Colombia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who have been injured by landmines and explosive remnants of war. Please consider contributing to the Coffeelands Trust, a fund that provides prosthetic limbs and wheelchairs and helps coffee producers return to their farms or to learn new skills that will enable them to find competitive employment within the coffee industry value chain.

Dark to Light: A Syrian Child's Journey
This past August UK Based charity Find A Better Way funded the Sir Bobby Charlton Centre for Support & Rehabilitation in Amman, Jordan. This state of the art centre offers a fully equipped facility for the Polus Center and Asia Development Training to continue the humanitarian work of providing prosthetic rehabilitation and trauma therapy services to hundreds of war wounded Syrians since the conflict began.
The Sir Bobby Charlton Center For Support & Rehabilitation opens in Amman, Jordan
UK Based Charity Find A Better Way, has partnered with the Polus Center and Asia Development Training to provide a permanent home for our long running prosthetic rehabilitation program in Jordan. The Sir Bobby Charlton Centre for Support and Rehabilitation opened it's doors August 2017, in Amman, Jordan.
Bob Easterbrooks: The Gift of Giving
Polus Center received a large donation from Atlantic Prosthetics & Orthotics of Westport MA, as final arrangements were made and the 36 year old practice closed its doors in 2017. The incredible generosity of he and his wife Kathleen can be seen in the comprehensive mix of prosthetic components, braces, fabrication tools, equipment, and mobility devices valued well over $35,000.

The Polus Center training offers post graduate prosthetics upgrading opportunities to many Syrian and Jordanian technicians. The program is considered ground breaking particularly for female technicians, as it is the kind of exposure few women in this part of the world would normally receive.
