The Polus Center was sad to say goodbye in April to retiree Laure Close, who has been the Director of Finance and Administration for over 10 years. The team surprised Laure for a little get-together at Thai Time in Clinton, where we met many times over the years. We thank Laure for all her help and wish her the best in the next stage of her life! Laure’s planning to move closer to her grandchildren out west after enjoying one last New England gardening season.
We are glad to welcome Cal Butler as our new Bookkeeper. Cal brings years of experience in Accounts Receivable from SimplexGrinnell/Johnson Controls and YMCA and is the published author of a recent children’s book. She joins Eileen Hilton, Polus Center Grant Manager, and Ashley Korb, Senior Finance and Accounting Manager from Insource Services, Inc. Cal can be reached at cbutler [at] poluscenter.org.
