A Message from Alyse
"I realized while advocating for our globally rare pine barrens ecoregion that the key to enhancing the conversation about conservation was by connecting environmental services to monetary values. This began my academic journey into economics, where I focused on corporate finance and environmental economics.
I wanted a career that does more than just make a profit. When I discovered Polus I knew I could stand with the mission and values of this nonprofit. I wanted to apply my skills to further those aspirations along with the international team that composes Polus.
In my free time, I am a naturalist. Spending my time outside. Listening for birds, looking for different plants, and hoping for a glimpse of any wild animals."
