Whether you're ready for a career change, returning to the workforce, or just starting out, the Polus Center’s Disability Supports Professional Training Program is your opportunity to build a fulfilling, purpose-driven career in a growing field.

Over six weeks (Tuesdays–Fridays, 9 AM–1 PM via Zoom), you’ll explore:

  • What it really means to live with a disability
  • The wide variety of roles available in disability services
  • Best practices in person-centered support
  • How to land and thrive in your new role

Explore career paths such as:

  • Direct Support Professional
  • Life Skills Trainer
  • Job Coach
  • Personal Care Assistant
  • Case Worker
  • Paraprofessional
  • Transportation Provider
  • Behavior Technician
  • ...and many more!

This is a training-to-work program.

Everyone enrolled MUST COMMIT to seeking & maintaining employment in the field of disability support services. Once employed, participants need to submit their first and 30-day pay statements as part of the program completion.

Eligibility:

  • ✔️ Massachusetts resident
  • ✔️ Unemployed or underemployed
  • ✔️ High school diploma or equivalent
  • ✔️ Able to pass standard background checks
  • ✔️ Access to a computer and reliable internet
  • ✔️ Access to reliable transportation
  • ✔️ Ready to begin working after training ends
