The Polus Center invites you to a multimedia exhibition, and week-long series of events highlighting 20 years of international humanitarian efforts helping victims of conflict around the world.  Join us as we share our work with Syrian refugee youth and landmine affected Coffee farmers through art, conversation, food, and film.

Tuesday May 15th

12pm - 4pm Gallery Exhibit

Exhibit is free and open to the public.  

 

12:30 Coffee Tasting & Talk

Join Michael Lundquist & Dean Cycon of Dean's Beans for a cup of coffee and conversation. They'll talk about the connections between coffee and conflict and how the Coffeelands Trust supports victims of conflict in coffee regions around the world.Coffee Tasting & Talk is free and open to the public.

Wednesday May 16th

12pm - 4pm Gallery Exhibits

Exhibit is free and open to the public. 

 

12:30 Coffee Tasting & Talk

Join Michael Lundquist & Asem Hasna for a cup of coffee and conversation. Follow along as Syrian software programmer  Asem Hasna takes you on his harrowing journey from Syria to Germany where he now lives and helps give other amputees a second chance at mobility. Coffee Tasting & Talk is free and open to the public.

Thursday May 17th

6pm - 9pm Syrian Family Meal

A  welcoming table is set as we transform the gallery and invite you to a Syrian inspired dinner. The evening will feature the artwork of young Syrian refugees, photography by Stephen Petegorsky, shared stories, live Middle Eastern music, and highlights from Polus Centers work in the region. This is a ticketed event with limited seating available.

Friday May 18

12pm - 2pm Gallery Exhibit

6pm - 9pm     Coffeelands Latin Mixer

Come be inspired as we share stories from the Coffeelands and our work in the field. Photographer Stephen Petegorsky takes us to Nicaragua, Colombia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Enjoy live music and latin foods prepared by Spoleto. Coffee inspired cocktails, wine, and beer will be available. This is a ticketed event.
